Really Disappointing -

 

Less than a year and a half ago ......

Music from 2A

(This was in the Blog Mailbox this morning - )
Just wondering if anyone else hears the constant music they play in 2A. I know I hear their band practice and so do the neighbors above me (the elevator shaft that runs through the A apartments lets noise travel freely) that goes on well after 9pm on weeknights. I know I've asked them to stop, and tonight I heard someone yell for them to stop playing piano, but then they just went into their room and started play music with lots of bass at 12:10am on a Tuesday! This is a common occurrence, too. Last Monday night, they were playing bass-heavy music in their room from 12:30am - 2:30 am despite my going down there to knock on the door. I always have to resort to stomping on the floor multiple times before they get it. Do the guys in 2A disturb anyone else?

Is anyone else having water problems?

Who the fuck had the party on the roof Saturday Night and didn't clean up. It must be these new overly entitled trust fund pseudo hipster children they are letting move into the building. Are they fucking brain dead or what? Don’t they know mommy or their servant is not going to clean up after them? Seriously let’s find out who threw the party and throw all the trash in front of their door. I hate going on the roof when it’s trashed like that. Let’s build a pen where the people who like to sit in their own filth can hang out. As for the rest of us a little respect please.

Pretty cool stuff ....

Even though I am not a big fan of the graffiti in our hallways and most of what is up top I have to admit I really like some of the new stuff on the roof.

What fucking moron took my grill apart and bent the shit out of it? I found the broken part among the pictured ever growing shit pile on the roof. Why would you do this?

Need Some Help ......

Hello 132 N 5ers,

This is Doug from 4G. It was nice to meet a lot of you on the 4^th!. I just finished cleaning the roof. I need some help. Currently there is about 9 or 10 bags of garbage on the roof and I need help taking them down. I was thinking Friday because that’s when we are supposed take the bags to the street. You won’t want to wear anything you like because
I can honestly say there is a nasty bit of business in those bags.

Also, that little wood table and chairs in the corner are ours. We are having some people over this weekend and will probably be using that table and those chairs quite a bit.

That is all.

try to make something positive out of everyones negative. instead of a roof party why doesn't everyone come to spike hill on friday. a bunch of friends and i will be playing tunes, drinking and dancing. starts at midnight after all the bands on the stage side.

check out the new mix....bring speakers on roof and play loud....jk =)

Honestly, this is the wrong way to continue this dialog. There should be a message board where anyone can post their comments, not just respond to certain viewpoints posted by the "moderator." I disagree with about half of the stuff on here, but no debate really occurs, because it all just gets lost in the comments.

My overall opinion, though, is that people need to calm down. It's very, very easy to get riled up when you think people are getting in your space...but then, I would bet a million dollars that a good percentage of you posting actually spend very, very little time on the roof. For the past several years, the building has functioned just fine and the place hasn't burned down, and I think it will continue to do so long after most of us move out.

And whoever called the cops on this Cody guy instead of actually going up there and asking him to turn down music IS a pussy.
