Notes on the Weekend:

I just wanted to get a new post up - just to get a new post up. Also – I can put a section on the blog main page where people can let other people in the building know that they are looking for roommates etc. Just let me know by saying "please put this up in your comment area" or email the information you want posted to 132north5@gmail.com and I will put it up. I will try to find a way to automate the process. Also I am not 100% sure if we nailed down if and when we want a building meet & greet. Is there anyone willing to own that one?

i'd like to make a comment about the roof parties. it is SO FUCKING LOUD in my apt, right under the official roof, and it can be partially avoided.

if you're going to have people on the roof, PLEASE, PLEASE ask them not to jump. when people jump around, it sounds like the sky is falling down, and there's a really loud screeching noise that goes along with jumping-type movements. i invite people to come down during the roof parties (such as last night) and hear for themselves.

luckily i am usually out during such times, but some of my roommates aren't...

Hey 4J and or 4I I can understand. About 2:30 AM I heard a crash loud enough to wake me from a dead sleep followed by an equally loud slam followed by an even louder crash. So I went up to the roof to ask whoever was up there to have mercy on my soul. I feel like a real ass having to go up there and ask people to quiet down, like the buzz kill but I don’t think people really understand how loud it gets. I think people are hopping over the fence to get to the large roof to take a piss and running to do it. Crash (over the fence)- (then run to the corner) boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, (found the corner begin to piss) pause, pause, pause (finish pissing & run back to the party) boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Multiply this by every person who takes a piss on the roof. I have to say when I went up there to ask them to hold it down every one was very nice and it got much better. Considering how very drunk everyone was it was that pretty good response. Also I am not 100% convinced that of all the groups of parties that were going on (I counted about three) that they were even from this building. Anyway – Just so people know it is genuinely very loud living directly under the roof.

Well if the roof gets shut down you can thank who ever had the party last weekend. I talked to Moses yesterday and he was upset about the new garbage on the wall next to the chabad house and the noise and mess on the roof. He was saying he is going to shut the roof down.

Hopefully this isn't true...
